Studio Manager

Duties & Responsibilities

Member Experience

• Ensures the Group Fitness Program is successful by scheduling and monitoring classes
• Communicates news and information to Group Fitness members via e-mail, signage and announcements
• Responds to Member Surveys and builds positive relationships with class participants
• Ensures instructors educate class participants on correct form and provide a variety of challenging and entertaining Group Fitness classes

Sales & Promotion

• Promotes and ensures Instructors continue to increase their knowledge Life Time programs, products and services to class participants

Financial & Budgetary

• Operates department within budget guidelines and tracks/reconciles the Group Fitness budget
• Prepares monthly and annual budget recommendations and daily performance reports

Managerial & Supervisory

• Completes monthly inventories, business plans and weekly objectives
• Completes daily walk-throughs of studio and office space
• Records and tracks participation through space management tool with schedule for each session
• Recruits, auditions, interviews, casts, assesses and counsels new team members
• Strives for artistry through creation of annual development plans and performance evaluation

Education & Experience

• 4-year college degree in related field or comparable education experience within fitness industry
• One-year supervisory experience in a fitness setting

Licenses / Certifications/ Registrations

• CPR/AED certification required within the first 3 months of hire
• National Group Exercise Certification (ACE required within 6 months of employment)
