Job Summary:
Responsible for all aspects of effective and efficient unit operations for assigned shift, including appropriate staffing, customer service and problem resolution.
Minimum Education:
- Graduate of approved school of nursing
Minimum Work Experience:
- 2 years' acute care experience
Required License/Certification:
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Georgia
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Clinical competency in clinical area
- Leadership and managerial competency
- Excellent verbal communication skills in person and on telephone
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Read, write, understand and communicate clearly in English
- Educate staff and physicians and/or office staff
- Ability to use a computer for clinical data entry/retrieval
- Ability to organize and prioritize work, act independently
- Utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Maturity in independent decision-making
- Ability to work collaboratively with others in a complex healthcare setting
