Summer Camp Staff - Various Positions - Full-time / Part-time

Do the outdoors, fresh air and sunshine call to you? Do you enjoy working with kids? Then Camp Howard is the place for you this summer! Located near the Mount Hood National Forest, just above the Bull Run River, Camp Howard is a residential, summer camp with a 65-year history of providing youth of the greater Portland metropolitan area (and beyond) with safe, fun and exciting experiences, based on Christian values. Camp Howard is owned and operated by the Catholic Youth Organization/Camp Howard. We are looking for candidates to fill a variety of staff positions, such as: " Counselors (cabin, relief & reserve) " Lifeguards, Certified " Adventure Guides (specialty camp and adventure course facilitators) " Health & Safety Assistant " Archery Facilitator, Level 1 Certified (we will certify) " Kitchen Staff " Zip Line/Giant Swing (aka, adventure course) Facilitators (we will certify) Our summer camp season consists of six (6) week-long (Sun-Fri) sessions, two (2) weekend sessions. Prior to beginning of the camp season there is also mandatory staff training period. Staff training for program (radio) staff on June 18th and for counselors and kitchen staff on June 20th. Staff training runs through June 28th, which is the first day of Camp. Summer Camp staff is provided with room and board, in addition to a weekly rate of pay, as per BOLI laws.
