Role Summary/Purpose

The NPI (New Product Introduction) Technical Leader (2nd Shift) will provide product quality review associated with the manufacturing process. Requires mastery of a body of theoretical knowledge. Requires developed and strong foundation of function skills and knowledge of relevant technologies. The specific development program this position will work with is the TFTJ (Turbofan Turbojet) program.

This role is a 2nd shift position

Essential Responsibilities

In addition, the Technical Quality Leader (2nd shift) will :

Ownership includes both quality assurance and quality control

  • Includes quality assurance of products, services, manufacturing processes

  • Includes conformance in manufacturing, incoming goods control, product inspection, witness points, etc.

Own resolution of all technical issues, leading readiness for new programs, collaborating with design engineers and program leaders

Responsible for the assembly and development of new programs, with close collaboration with the operations team

Troubleshooting technical issues to meet deadlines

Develop new solutions under guidance and/or in a team setting or based upon precedents in the organizations

Work together with business leadership at SPB and EB level

Specify needs, communicate about project approach and present outcomes of research done

Deliver products as part of a team

Work on cross functional teams

Alternatively: Lead analytical and design activities using proven technologies and vested approaches and methods

Flexibility in schedule to work a 2nd shift position

Qualifications/Requirements

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (Or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Manufacturing)

Minimum of 3 years of experience in Production Quality

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT :

This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment
