The Creative Center of Excellence (CCOE) team at Citi employs design and copy to create transparency and clarity of Citi's communications, portraying 'One Citi' direction and ensuring 'Simplification' as a practice. The team is continually growing and expanding their scope of work as a result of their digital, business and channel expertise in support of key execution priorities. They serve as the key control point to maintain consistency across strategic guidelines. CCOE has 100% client satisfaction rate due to the relationships they have built as well as their SLA timing and quality of work.

As the VP, CCOE Creative Director, you will work with a cross-discipline team of creative talent, to invent and execute innovative brand experiences across a diverse range of channels including E-mail, Digital, Statements, Card Carrier and Servicing Letters.

This position will be plugged into the overall strategy and brand positioning of Citi to be able to execute in the creatives. You will lead creative strategy pulling together design and copy, drive innovation and marketing trends, and provide a fresh eye to the creative to take the job to the next level. You are expected to inspire breakthrough idea, will be the key creative lead with internal stakeholders and are accountable for meeting the business and creative goals of the team's assignments.

The responsibilities of the Vice President, CCOE Creative Director include:

  • Work with a cross-discipline design and copy team to invent and inspire customer experiences that are radically consistent, curiously easy, and bold by design.
  • Have a deep understanding of the Citi product offering, the market in which Citi operates, and the target customers.
  • Help set the approach for the creative team in how to approach the project, leading brainstorms and direction for the creative development.
  • Provide an overall creative evaluation on both copy and design before the job goes to clients.
  • Ensure a consistent message that fits with the brand for all creatives.
  • Develop new creative strategies for clients with a keen eye for brand, voice and tone.
  • Understand the bigger picture, able to think strategically, understand customer goals, and business requirements.
  • Drive marketing trends and innovation.
  • Collaborate with relevant product and brand teams to help guide the team on guidelines.
  • Manage all projects using principles with agile methods.
  • Manage multiple work streams with varying timelines and complexity with authority and passion.
  • A proven, subject matter expert in the field of design, writing, and strategy.
  • Pitch final concepts and solutions to internal stakeholders in persuasive, articulate and compelling ways -- charismatic story telling skills are a must.
  • Be a go-getter with an entrepreneurial attitude and passion for innovative solutions and brand experiences that enable progress for our customers.

Qualifications

  • 8 years of experience designing rich interactive brand, campaign experiences that drive results, understanding responsive design.
  • Proven leadership and management skills leading Design and Copy resources across multiple projects.
  • Experience leading teams through the process of investigation, ideation and implementation.
  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, New Media or related field.
  • Experience in digital marketing including E-mail and Web banners.
  • Proficient in all creative software packages (especially Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, Dreamweaver). HTML is a plus.
  • Proven expertise in time and project management.
  • Exceptional communication (written and verbal).
  • Impressive communication/presentation skills, including the ability to sell ideas to varying audiences.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
