About this job
DISH is a Fortune 200 company with more than $15 billion in annual revenue that continues to redefine the communications industry. Our legacy is innovation and a willingness to challenge the status quo, including reinventing ourselves. We disrupted the pay-TV industry in the mid-90s with the launch of the DISH satellite TV service, taking on some of the largest U.S. corporations in the process, and grew to be the fourth-largest pay-TV provider. We are doing it again with the first live, internet-delivered TV service – Sling TV – that bucks traditional pay-TV norms and gives consumers a truly new way to access and watch television.
Now we have our sights set on upending the wireless industry and unseating the entrenched incumbent carriers.
We are driven by curiosity, pride, adventure, and a desire to win – it’s in our DNA. We’re looking for people with boundless energy, intelligence, and an overwhelming need to achieve to join our team as we embark on the next chapter of our story.
Opportunity is here. We are DISH.
A successful Product Stability Manager will have:
- Bachelors degree from four-year college or university; or three years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Curiosity for DBS technology and how new technology is shaping the future of the pay-TV industry.
- A passion to deliver a high-quality product.
- Great leadership skills, with a proven track record of leading a strategy-focused team.
- Confidence in a fast-paced, changing environment where challenges are faced regularly.
- Excellent quantitative and analytical abilities, with proficiency in mathematical concepts and ability to define problems, seek and collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
This Business Operations Manager position is with the Product Stability team within the Technical Operations organization. As a Product Stability Manager, your team will be a key player in DISH’s software release and issue management processes. Your focus will be supporting the team that identifies, trends, and escalates potential software bugs in DISH’s set top boxes and mobile applications, as well as help to develop and validate analytic theories on potential software and hardware abnormalities.
We constantly think customer. This includes not only creating the best product experience for our external customers, but also supporting various business groups internal to DISH. You will coordinate with various departments such as engineering, product marketing, technical support, In Home Services, and manufacturing to plan for business changes that impact the overall stability of our products. Our goal is to help drive DISH to be #1 in customer experience.
