Electronic Systems (ES) is one of four L3 business segments, and provides a broad range of components, products, subsystems, systems and related services for military and commercial customers. We are searching for an Welder at our Power Management- Norfolk VA. location.

Active DoD Secret clearance required at time of hire.

Welds metal parts together, using both gas welding or brazing and any combination of arc welding process. Performs related tasks such as thermal cutting and grinding. Repairs broken or cracked parts, fills holes and increases size of metal parts. Positions and clamps together components of fabricated metal products preparatory to welding. May locate and repair cracks in industrial engine cylinder heads, using inspection equipment and gas torch. May perform repairs only. Other duties may be assigned.

The successful candidate will be based in the Electronic Systems business unit, in the Norfolk VA. area. A competitive market-based compensation package, commensurate with the responsibilities and experience requirements will be provided.

Must be able to certify to SMAW process up to HY-100 steel. Must be able to weld using a mirror. Five (5) years of demonstrated experience. High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)/Vocational School Diploma or graduate of U.S. Navy HT "A" school, apprentice or technical school.
