sweetFrog is looking for a Store Manager!

Must have at least 3 years Food Service Management experience in a food service environment/store to be considered for this position.

POSITION SUMMARY

The purpose of the Store Manager is to provide the necessary skills and leadership to achieve the best sweetFrog experience possible. The store manager is customer driven: ensuring that the yogurt is always of the highest quality, the store is always clean, and the experience is one that will keep the customers coming back. The store manager is also employee driven: making sure all employees are properly trained and are receiving constructive feedback to help them grow and develop in a healthy manner. And the store manager is business driven: keeping the success of the company as a priority and ensuring that financial goals/results are achieved within the store.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

  • Manages entire operation of a growing business with annual average unit volume sales of or in excess of $300,000 to $1,000,000. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the hiring, administrative processing, orientation and ongoing training of store employees of a staff from 4-6 people. Knowing, teaching and adhering to local, state and federal labor and health laws. Ensuring that excellent customer service as well as proper food handling and yogurt preparation are being taught and followed by staff. Also responsible for monitoring the ongoing cleanliness and sanitation throughout the store through employee training and following posted stores checklist(s) and procedures
  • Coordinates with the Regional Team Lead to go out into the local community to set up Spirit Nights/Outreach Events with various schools, churches, and other organizations. This process often involves going into public/private schools and meeting with school administrators, teachers, PTA leaders and explaining our Local Store Marketing program along with its benefits. Coordination with other local community fundraisers and groups are involved also with these grassroots efforts. The sales reconciliation and reporting to the corporate office is at the back end of these efforts.
  • Manages store inventory levels as well as placing food/merchandise orders regularly comparing prices with other common carriers to ensure competitive prices.. This process begins with reviewing all monthly food/merchandise prices and updating the current foods on hand and sending that data in for analysis to our Corporate office.
  • Analyzes store sales and makes the necessary sales/labor adjustments to maintain and or achieve the budgetary goals for each fiscal period. These adjustments are made on a daily basis and these same daily results are sent into our immediate supervisor, your Regional Team Leader. This includes but is not limited to creating the store schedule on a weekly basis, adjusting employee schedules to achieve the desired labor cost, as well as reducing spending and/or transferring product between stores to achieve the desired food cost goal.
