Don Pablo's Mexican Restaurant is a fast paced, high volume, casual dining restaurant concept. We are seeking high energy, hands-on, self-starters, with a passion for service and a love for food.
We are currently seeking for all front of house and back of house positions. If you deliver a passion for service and a love for food, we will deliver an active, fun environment, where the employees work together.
Job Description Front of House:
- Provide excellent customer services that promote satisfaction
- Greet customers and present menu
- Make recommendations or share additional information upon request
- Take and serve food/drinks orders and up-sell any additional products
- Arrange table settings and maintain tables clean and tidy
- Check products for quality and correct any problems that keep them from enjoying their meal/drink
- Deliver checks and collect payments
- Cooperate with all staff
- Follow all relevant health department rules/regulations and all customer service guidelines
Job Description Back of House:
- Communication Skills: Communication is crucial in a kitchen. You will need to read orders, understand instruction from the head chef, and talk to your fellow cooks to make sure the food is delivered hot and delicious.
- Customer Service Skills: Customers may have special requests or complaints. If you are working in a place where they can see you, you might need to interact with the customer. Service with a smile will be necessary.
- Hand-Eye Coordination: Cooking requires great knife skills, proximity to fire and many dangerous elements. A steady hand will help you greatly.
- Sense of Taste and Smell: Knowing when food has gone bad, understanding proper seasoning and what tastes good will help you attract customers.
- Stamina: Kitchen hours can be long and grueling. You will need to be able to stand on your feet for long periods and lift heavy objects from storage.
- Teamwork: Very often, cooks are part of a large team, reporting to a head chef. You will need to be able to work as a team to create a great dining experience for customers.
