Diesel Technician/Mechanic Position

Experienced Diesel Technicians/Mechanics are needed to perform maintenance work on a Fleet of Extensive Diesel Engine Heavy Trucks for our client in Smithton, PA.

Diesel Technician/Mechanic Position Job Description:

• Perform Preventative Maintenance on Diesel Engine Heavy Trucks.
• Conduct fuel and electrical diagnostics with limited supervision.
• Complete most repairs and parts replacements.
• Accurately complete written record of work performed.
• Communicate with Drivers regarding “Vehicle Condition Reports" and make appropriate repairs.
• Maintain a clean work and shop area as directed.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Diesel Technician/Mechanic Position Primary Duties:

• Preventative Maintenance
• Oil changes
• Air/hydraulic brakes
• Suspensions
• Transmissions
• General Maintenance

Qualified Candidates For Diesel Technician/Mechanic Position Will Have The Following Education/Experience:

• 3 years of diesel maintenance experience is required.
• Diagnostic experience is required.
• Trailer experience is required.
• One of the following is required to be considered for this position: An Associate's Degree (A. A.) or equivalent from a two-year College or Technical School, six months to one year of related experience and/or training, OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
• ASE Certifications are preferred and will be required after employment
• A valid CDL is preferred.
• A basic set of tools is required.
• A valid clear driver’s license is required.
• Trade school, mechanical course, or equivalent highly desired.

Working Conditions:

Shop, office, yard, vehicle environment, may require lifting of 20 to 50 lbs., at least once a day.
