Loan Solutions Specialist - Full-time

SMW Financial Credit Union currently seeks a Loan Solutions Specialist to join our growing team at our Lino Lakes branch. The successful candidate will be available to work Monday-Friday 8:45am-5:15pm.

Position Purpose:

This position is responsible for assisting the Loan Services Center with collections, repossessions and as loan support for all indirect functions. This position will work with members, when needed, to develop a workout plan for account/loan repayment and perform any other duties as directed by their supervisor; the VP of Lending.

Required Qualifications:

The successful candidate will possess the following required skills and qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED. Some post-secondary education preferred.
• At least one year of collections experience
• At least one year in a same or similar position preferably in the financial, insurance or collections industry.
• Proficient use of the Microsoft office package.
• Ability to communicate professionally with internal and external customers using excellent oral, written and auditory communication skills.
•  Comfortable negotiating using excellent interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational, attention to detail and time management skills
• Strong ethics, and the ability to keep information confidential
• Ability to multitask, work independently and meet multiple deadlines
• Dependable and flexible
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to pass a credit and background check
