MRI Tech

Performs all routine and miscellaneous MRI procedures. Will participate in the on-call schedule as assigned.

MRI Basic Competencies

  • Routine protocols of all procedures performed in department
  • Transporting and Positioning for procedures
  • Control Safety of MRI Suite, Maintain safe working area
  • Access Patients Safety Prior to Exam
  • Obtaining and evaluating medical history
  • Use of Teleradiography
  • Use of 3D Imaging – angio-mip-ortho work
  • Practicing aseptic technique
  • Knowledge and use of Imaging Network
  • Film Processing and reports to Radiologist
  • Use of all processors

Qualification:

  • Graduate of a 2 year or Associate level Radiologic Technology program
  • ARRT - MR
  • Florida CRT License
  • 1 year X-ray experience
  • 1 year MRI experience
