Software Engineer - Full-time / Part-time

Boeing is searching for Software Engineers to apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify software solutions for operational programs of vital importance to our customers.

This position primarily requires proficient to advanced skills in C++ but Java skills will also be needed. In addition, Linux OS skills are required and SE Linux OS skills are highly desired. A background in secure coding practices and Information Assurance cyber skills will be highly utilized. Our work involves both embedded solutions and network solutions with the implementation of many emerging software and hardware technologies. Advanced skills in mathematics (Fourier transforms, tensors, Bayesian algorithms etc) is highly desired for our software that performs analytics on sensor and operational data. All of our work is performed in a fast paced and disciplined code, build and test Agile environment.

Examples of our technologies you will be expected to quickly come up to speed and execute with include:

• Spring frameworks; Angular framework; unit testing with JUnit; Gradle; XML and JSON (with associated object relational mapping technologies)

• Automated deployment and configuration of VMware ESXi virtual machines for testing

• Integration testing with Jenkins; bash scripting

• HP Fortify secure code analysis

• Familiarity with MS secure development lifecycle or equivalent

• Cyber secure threat modeling

• Role based access control security policies

• Application stack protocol implementation of network topology

• Experience with full OSI stack above Layer 2 and familiarity with common streaming protocols

• Relational and NoSQL databases.

Qualifications

Typical Education/Experience:

Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Basic Qualifications (Required):

• This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance, for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.
• This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
