Delivery Driver Class A Description Job Description Summary As a Class A Delivery Driver you will be responsible for the distribution of product from our warehouse to various businesses in the area. You will report to the warehouse at your assigned time to get your truck and receive your dispatch for the day. You will drive a JSC Trucking Inc. truck over established routes. At all times, Class A drivers are to obey all Department of Transportation and FMCSA regulations and laws, and at the same time adhere to JSC Trucking Inc.'s policies. You will provide exceptional customer service as well as operate and unload product for deliveries to local customers in the area. $17.00 /Hr Weekends Off Paid Vacation/Benefits/Pd. Life/401K Job Duties Responsibilities/Essential Functions •Follow Driver Procedure. ?Must abide by all Department of Transportation, federal, state, and local regulations •Deliver product to different addresses and through different routes. •Follow route and performs work required in a timely manner. •Unload, prepare, inspect and operate delivery vehicle. •Must report all accidents, incidents, and any circumstances that may jeopardize the safety of our driver, equipment, and goods being shipped. •Collect payments that match invoices. •Maintain a clean and safe truck environment. •Conducts a thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspection of the equipment assigned as prescribed by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and JSC Trucking Inc. Inspect truck for defects during and after trips and submit a written report on the condition of the truck at the end of each trip. •Adhere to JSC Trucking's policy as outlined in the Employee Handbook. •Safely operates tractor trailer equipment in different configurations as assigned, with varying weights as allowed by law, under all types of climatic conditions, terrain, road conditions and traffic situations, in urban and rural settings, for extended periods of time, over long distances, either direct or by way of other intermediate points in accordance with all federal, state and local laws and regulations as well as JSC Trucking Inc.'s policy. •Performs other duties as assigned. Position Requirements Performance Standards COMMUNICATION •Understands and carries out instructions given orally and in writing •Communicate thoroughly and promptly with the Drivers Supervisors ORGANIZATION / PLANNING •Must be able to maintain all invoices, cash, and checks JOB SKILL•Class A CDL license PROBLEM SOLVING •Ability to work independently without constant supervision ATTENTION TO DETAIL •Must make sure all checks are filled out correctly •Ensures all checks and cash match up to invoice totals WORK RELATIONSHIPS •Maintain a professional and respectful relationship with internal and external customers. Establish relationships to be able to accomplish work through others that are not direct reports. Qualifications EDUCATION •High School Diploma SKILLS / ABILITIES •(Operate a Motor Vehicle) •Clear driving record (MVR) •Valid Oklahoma Driver's License Class A •Must be able to operate a tractor-trailer SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE •Knowledge of FMCSA rules and regulations •Professional Certification •Valid Class A- Commercial •Driver's LicenseMust be able to maintain a medical card as required by the Department of Transportation through its physical exam EXPERIENCE •Intermediate Working Conditions This position is driving a truck to deliver product. This position will require working in all weather conditions.
