EHS Manager

Loparex LLC is the worlds largest manufacturer of extrusion base and silicone coated release liners for the converting industry. We have manufacturing operations throughout the U.S., Europe, China, Thailand and India. The Iowa City facility has been in operation since 1970 and annually supplies three billion square feet of release liner worldwide. We are currently looking for an EHS Manager to work at the Iowa City facility. The successful candidate will be responsible leading and managing all functions relating to safety and environmental regulatory compliance for the Iowa City facility. This position is an active member of the plant leadership team driving accountability for safety initiatives and cultivating a culture focused on continuous improvement in safety performance. The position is responsible for developing and maintaining safety programs, complying with all federal, state and local safety regulations, leading the safety committees and behavior based safety program, inspecting and evaluating the workplace environment, equipment and practices, identifying training needs, developing training programs and securing outside training as necessary. This person is also responsible for environmental reporting, assisting with RCRA and hazardous waste and acting as management representative for ISO 14001 for the facility. Qualifying candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in related field and 5 to 10 years of relevant safety experience in a manufacturing environment, strong working knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations, strong leadership, organizational and interpersonal skills. CSP certification is preferred.
