Therapy Service - NYC is a private group practice seeking a motivated psychologist for an immediate opportunity.   Our psychology practice is hiring licensed psychologist to treat adult outpatients suffering from anxiety, depression, and PTSD.  Many patients have been injured and are coping with chronic pain and health issues.  Experience treating outpatient adults, relaxation techniques, and strong therapeutic skills are important.   The therapists working at our center find that the important roll we play for our patients, the warm colleagial relationships they develop, the upscale office suite, and financial rewards, are why psychologists work at Therapy Services in the Bronx. We have a wonderful team of therapists, 3 administrative staff, and supportive director. Responsibilities are providing individual psychotherapy which ranges from supportive, to active problem solving, to teaching relaxation techniques, to in-depth psychotherapy. Psychologists provide long-term treatment (2-4 years) on a 1 – 2 x week basis to their patients. You will provided a full patient roster, punctual patients, and few unexpected cancellations. We have a warm welcoming office environment, smoothly running office, regular interaction with colleagues, peer supervision, therapy dog, weekly messages, and a supportive professional director. Paperwork and administrative burdens are minimized while time with patients is maximized. This position accommodates a flexible schedule for 2, 3, or 4 days per week. Hours of practice are anywhere from 8:00 am through 8:00 pm Mon – Fri. Therapists set their own schedules. Most therapists have private practices or teach a couple days a week, which makes for a good balanced workflow and lifestyle. Generous compensation is provided, which generally exceeds expectations. Payroll is transferred to therapists' checking accounts every 2 weeks. We are in the upscale Westchester Square area, one block from the #6 subway and 5 blocks from the Hutch/Route 95 with free parking in the building's garage. Therapists commute from Manhattan and Westchester, and they find the commute worth doing, given the wonderful experience of working here.
