Regional Aviation Simulator Instructor Operator (I/O)

The Regional Aviation Simulator Instructor Operators will provide expertise in one or more of the following aircraft simulators: Longbow Crew Trainers (LCT), Blackhawk Aviation Trainers (BAT), UH-60A/L Synthetic Flight Training Simulator (SFTS), UH-60M Transportable Blackhawk Operational Simulator (TBOS), CH-47F Transportable Flight Proficiency Simulator (TFPS) Regional flight simulator instruction and simulator operation.

The Simulator Instructor Operator shall provide aviation instruction which shall include:

Instruction of all base and mission tasks in accordance with the aircraft ATM

APART academic evaluation topics as listed in the applicable ATM

Mission scenario development

Instrument training/evaluation

Crew coordination

Collective operator training

Key Job Functions:

Provide simulated flight training to AATS students and regional simulation users with special emphasis on proper use of all aircraft systems, emergency procedure training, and instrument flight procedures.

Develop and maintain mission training scenarios for regional users.

Provide instruction and evaluation to student pilots IAW Training Support Packages for Army National Guard approved courses of instruction.

Regional Aviation Simulator Instructor Operators shall have the following minimum experience, certifications, and qualifications:

Must be qualified as an Instructor Pilot in the respective aircraft simulator and an Instrument Flight Examiner, or have documented three years of experience as an Aviation Simulator Instructor/Operator in the required aircraft device; or have prior experience training or operating with Army Aviation (or Military Equivalent).

DoD Secret Security Clearance Required

Position(s) are contingent upon contract award.

The successful candidate will be based in the Electronic Systems business unit, in the Colorado Springs area. A competitive market-based compensation package, commensurate with the responsibilities and experience requirements will be provided.
