Automation Personnel Services, Inc. Is seeking a seasoned, hands on CNC Machine Operators for first, second and third shifts, in Clearwater area. This is a Monday through Friday plus some Saturdays position. MUST be able to read Micrometers, Calipers and Blueprints.
Ability to run quality parts at specified rate, read blueprints, measure parts using various measurement equipment, perform tool changes, make adjustments, and minor repairs/maintenance to equipment.
Must have 2 years minimum experience operating multi-spindle lathes, a basic set of tools, and be willing to learn all aspects of the duties required while going thru the on-site operator training program.
ISO, Six Sigma, or Lean Manufacturing experience would be a plus.
Acme Gridley, Davenport, Engine lathe types would work well here. This is a more physical position then CNC.
Also looking for, Supervisor with manufacturing experience in a production situation, CNC experience within the hydraulics industry. Candidate should have the understanding of cycle times and managing people in a production facility. Should be familiar with Single Spindle, Multi Axis Swiss style machines. (Ganesh, Star) Experienced, with 5-10 years of increasing responsibility in supervisory position.
Job duties:
Hands on position with ability to manage/lead, assign workload to machine operators. Have a sense of urgency and instill sense of urgency in employees and:
Production Supervision Experience, direct supervision of employees (approx. 8-12)
STRONG Organizational Skills, written, verbal, and interpersonal.
Assist in the development and implementation of processes that will optimize time cycle and product quality with continuous improvement and training of employees.
High attention to product detail. Understanding of measuring tools for our industry.
Hands on with mechanical/troubleshooting experience. Oversee set ups and qualification of Processes and first part inspection.
Pay will start: $15. - $20. Per hour (based experience)
