CUSTODIAN SHIFT MANAGER - Full-time

Custodian Shift Manager Facility Services Louisiana State University A copy of your transcripts may be attached to your application (if available). This position applies advance management skills to supervise and directs all building cleaning services, special projects, special event support, floor maintenance and pest control for the total evening and night shift operations. As necessary, plans and directs the evening/night custodial crews in set-ups for set-ups and take downs for special events including commencements, registrations, spring testing and other similar activities. This position requires advanced labor relations skills to review and solve facility issues, at the professional & craft level. Job Duties: Through subordinate managers & supervisors, supervises and manages all employees of Building Services. Through subordinate managers & supervisors, assigns and/or delegates responsibility for specific work or functional activity Prepare reports and records on departments activities for submission to Facility Services administration. Prepares and coordinates training programs to ensure employees are continuously up to date on departmental procedures, and provides best industry practices for the continuous operation, improvement, and maintenance of University facilities. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree 5 years of management experience. Experience in an environment where custodial duties were a major function. Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree. 5 years management in an environment where custodial duties were a major function Special or Physical Qualifications: Due to the nature of this position responsibilities this position shall be subject to drug/alcohol testing in accordance with University Policy Statement 67. In accordance with PS-18 this position maybe required to report or stay on campus in the event of emergency or closure.
