Assistant Manager

The primary responsibilities of the Assistant Manager are to maintain amazing customer service, generate sales, maintain store presentation and to train and motivate the staff.

Job Duties:

• Provide superior customer service at all times.
• Set a positive example by following company procedures and positive communication.
• Oversee all aspects of the daily operation of the store.
• Proficiency in all store technology. 
• Resolve customer and employee complaints in a timely and satisfactory manner, set to situation and company standards.
• Ability to motivate, delegate and lead all other associates for maximum performance.
• Assist in store goal setting.
• Train, coach and observe associates. 
• Make sure that the sales floor (including garden center) is clean, organized and properly signed.
• Make sure all merchandising is up to store standards.
• Oversee all Shipping/receiving procedures and warehouse area .   
• Oversee all services within the store.
• Lead associate team to accomplish store goals.
• Enforces safety policies and procedures; is a safety role model.
• Be able to open/close store as per store procedures.
• Ability to perform all job functions of a sales associate, cashier, sales floor manager.
