About this job

As a Patient Care Manager you will interact with medical professionals at leading clinics to provide support and problem resolution. You will use your knowledge of the healthcare industry and medical diagnostic processes to be a proactive and thorough problem solver so that our customers will develop trust and confidence. You will be responsible for timely resolution of customer inquiries. Our customers include physicians, nurses, clinical laboratory personnel, other clinicians, patients and family, payers, field personnel, management, laboratory, and partners.


Responsibilities are as follows, but not necessarily limited to:
Making outbound calls to patients and physicians
Handling and resolving common requests, including (but not limited to) customer supply order entry, results and reporting, reimbursement questions, and technical questions in an accurate, timely manner
Assisting with daily department activities to meet workload demands:
Entering/accessioning clinical sample data into the Laboratory Information System
Maintaining a database of customer accounts by adding new accounts and updating the records as information changes
Supporting implementation of new center start ups
Sending routine customer updates regarding product expiration, holiday schedules, etc., and monitoring responses to those updates
Supporting other Customer Service logistics activities such as the centrifuge program, as needed
Conducting phone follow up with customers regarding test requisition information clarification
Documenting all customer inquiries in a complete, accurate manner
Developing tools, procedures, and requirements to accurately and efficiently obtain, process, update, and follow up on specific customer service projects
Using XDx proprietary software system to resolve customer and product issues
Coordinating with the laboratory staff and other members of the team to expedite timely processing of samples and customer inquiries
Conducting all tasks in compliance with written XDx SOPs
Maintaining compliance with all applicable regulations referenced in XDx SOPs, including
HIPAA, CLIA, FDA, etc.
Filing and archiving test requisitions and paper documents in compliance with XDx record retention procedures
Interfacing with XDx sales force, MSL and reimbursement teams to expedite customer support
Sending medical reports via scanner, fax and/or mail daily or as needed making outbound calls to patients and physicians
Providing draw site support services including entering orders for supplies and equipment, and updating account information in our logistics vendor system
