• A 4-year college degree in Computer Science / Information Technology, master’s degree is preferred or equivalent professional experience
• 5+ years of professional enterprise development experience
• 5+ years of professional experience with at least one scripting language (Python & Go highly preferred).
• 5+ years of professional experience with a combination of Postgresql, Couchbase, ElasticSearch, Cassandra, and/or Solr.
• Experience with contributing to a project using Git.

Nice-to-have: 

• Object oriented, pattern based enterprise development experience. (Go, Java, Python)
• Strong understanding of both structured and unstructured data.
• Cloud native & microservice patterns with hands on experience (Kubernetes, Docker, Rancher).
• Confluent Stack / Kafka / ELK Stack / Grafanna
• Experience developing highly scalable, highly available web services.
• The ability to dive in to just about any job and quickly contribute.

Primary responsibilities include the following:

• An intuitive understanding of software design/architecture and the ability to discuss and make design considerations and trade-offs.
• Participate in code reviews from other developers to insure quality, stability, and overall architecture of our code base.
• Research and prototype to provide insight about potentially beneficial technologies and specific industry solutions.
• Building highly scalable, highly available web services to handle millions of transactions per day.
• Working on an agile team using CI / CD best practices to deliver the highest quality software possible quickly
• You live to experiment, test, fail fast, and learn as you go, we are not looking for a cookie cutter solution to the complex problems we solve.
