Slapfish is a fast casual seafood restaurant that serves responsible and sustainably sourced food. It is an exciting and fresh new concept here in Northern Virginia! We are looking for passionate people who share a commitment for great food and quality. We are seeking a friendly and outgoing individual to join our team.

• We work together to make the atmosphere at our restaurant as dynamic as our food


Opening Duties and Procedures:
- Prepare each station and area with the proper items needed for cleaning/sanitizing.
- Check that all trash bins are emptied of all debris and lined with new garbage bags.
- Clean all the floors, surface areas and equipment of any debris, dirt or spills.
- Set up and run any necessary equipment necessary for cooking.
- Assisting with receiving, restocking, or accounting for inventory on delivery days.
- Ensure each station is fully stocked with necessary supplies (trays/ dishes/ etc).
- Clean and organize coolers and freezers.
- Organize dry storage areas.
- Perform any other opening duties at the request of the manager on duty.


Responsibilities:
- Check and discard any expired or spoiled inventory and appropriately account for the loss in accordance to the kitchen procedures. 
- Prep any food necessary for service.
- Follow any protocols and in accordance to the kitchen procedures.
- Comply with any nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
- Maintain consistency in quality control and portion control of food orders.
- Maintain a positive and professional working environment with all staff.
- Maintain a sanitary and clean workspace and kitchen throughout operational hours.
- Maintain and upkeep cooking equipment throughout operational hours.
- Keep food stocked and prepped during operational hours.
- Wash all necessary dishes and utensils to keep clean supplies stocked.
- Maintain kitchen floor by sweeping or mopping as deemed necessary.
- Empty garbage bins and refill garbage bag liners periodically.


Closing Duties and Procedures:
- Wash all dishes that were used throughout the day.
- Clean and polish exhaust hoods and vents.
- Sweep and mop kitchen floors.
- Check that all equipment is cleaned and powered off for the day.
- Clean and organize all dry storage areas.
- Clean and organize coolers and freezers.
- Clean and organize and appropriately store all food items including sauces and condiments used in back kitchen.
