About The Career Opportunity

We are currently seeking a high energy, dynamic, and detailed oriented individual with an outgoing and friendly personality to fill the role of our Human Resources Generalist. This position will be based in Rockville but will involve frequent travel to Greenbelt. As a Human Resources Generalist, you will use your skills to capture top talent while helping people achieve their career aspirations. As part of a robust Human Resources and Training team, you will play a key role in developing strategies to source and attract high quality candidates, including identification of appropriate job boards and community resources, providing guidance on compensation and hiring decisions, and creating tactical plans to execute critically important hiring strategies. We are a close-knit team with collaborative relationships with each other and our business partners. We have 225 employees, and this position acts as a resource to internal and external members in resolving transaction and member service requests in the areas of recruiting, benefits, pay and general human resources activities.

Position Requirements

3+ years related experience in recruiting administration. Benefits and payroll experience a

Plus. Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred. Experience using Cornerstone or a modern

ATS preferred. Working knowledge of HRIS systems a must. Knowledge of ADP payroll

system preferred. PHR or SHRM Certification helpful. Must be flexible with schedule to

allow for non-traditional meeting times (periodic early morning or late afternoon interviews,

etc.). Excellent interpersonal, organizational, problem-solving, analytical, and general

accounting skills are necessary. Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well

as a commitment to deliver excellent service. Ability to understand the applicant

qualifications and how they fit in with the needs of the Credit Union.
