Description
Our Facility Maintenance team is responsible for: keeping our clubs clean, well maintained and safe; making sure all exercise equipment is working properly; and providing a positive experience for our members and guests. No two days will be the same, and you'll likely experience a variety of slightly different challenges each day in a high-energy, health club environment. A positive attitude is a plus.
Duties & Responsibilities
Member Experience
- Assists staff in keeping locker rooms, fitness floors and common areas clean, tidy and welcoming at all times
- Assists with keeping towels and amenities properly maintained and present
- Ensures staff is courteous to members and respectful of their privacy in the locker rooms
- Works alongside staff to complete tasks thru leading by example to improve members experience
- Connects with all members to ensure that they are enjoying their experience
- Proactively interacts with members to gather feedback
- Assist with responding to member feedback with urgency and provides follow up communication with solutions
- Routinely and repetitively lift more than 20 pounds
Sales & Promotion
- Promotes Life Time programs, products, and services
Financial & Budgetary
- Assists the Manager with monthly and annual budget recommendations
Managerial & Supervisory
- Creates and coordinate Operations staff schedule
- Serves on the club Safety Committee ensuring policies and regulations are in compliance with OSHA regulations
- Assists in overseeing locker rooms, fitness floor, tennis, pool and towel services operations
- Assists in training team members through standard operating procedures, role playing, shadowing and providing feedback
- Assists with recruiting and interviewing for the Operations department
- Assists with coaching and counseling team members
- Attends weekly department head, Operations department, and all club meetings
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED
- College degree in business, hospitality, or related field preferred
- One-year customer service experience
- Health and fitness operations experience preferred
- Experience with building operations preferred
Licenses / Certifications / Registrations
- CPR/AED certification required within the first 30 days of hire
- Aquatic Facilities Operator Certification (AFO)
- Certified Pool Operator license (CPO) within 3 months of hire
