Facebook is looking for an experienced social media marketing manager to lead the social strategy and presence for Facebook Business and related business brands across all social channels.

The ideal candidate is a bold, multi-faceted and innovative marketer. This individual excels at media strategy and planning, developing personality across social channels, inspiring and educating customers with world-class content and creative experiences, channel operations, analytics and has strong cross-functional skills. This person is not afraid to think big and is also willing to roll up their sleeves to get the work done. This individual thrives in a fast-moving environment and has a passion for making the world more open and connected. This position can be based in Menlo Park, CA or New York, NY.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Social Media Vision and Strategy: Develop holistic global strategy to manage social media efforts for Facebook's Business brands including Facebook Business, Instagram Business, WhatsApp Business, Messenger Business, FBIQ, Blueprint and more.

Audience Insights: Understand our core audiences and how to leverage social media to influence their hearts and minds.

Voice, Tone and Personality Development: Responsible for developing and overseeing the personality and tone and voice for the Facebook Business brand across our social media presence.

Process and Practices: Develop and drive process to manage a world-class social media practice including: planning, calendaring, creative development, publishing, moderation, reporting and readouts.

Strong Cross-Functional Partnership: Partner with Sales, Marketing, Product, Public Relations, Creative, Media and other cross-functional partners to inform global social media strategy and execution. Act as primary liaison to educate partners on the power and potential of social media.

Results and Impact: Partner with operations and analytics to develop framework and set KPIs to measure impact of social media efforts. Ultimately, this individual is responsible for the business impact of our social media.

Team and People Management: Hire, onboard, coach and mentor team of social media experts. Build team culture and practices, manage the work, and be responsible for the output and results of the team.

Agency Management: Responsible for managing agency and partner relationships integral for a successful social media practice at scale across brands around the globe.

Infrastructure: Oversee development and management of necessary tools, systems and infrastructure required to oversee development of a content calendar, publishing and monitoring content, moderating comments and sentiment, and reporting on results.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors degree

15+ years of experience in digital marketing or social media marketing

Knowledge of social media ecosystems, tools, platforms and offerings

Experience overseeing and managing the social media strategy at a global brand

Experience working with cross-functional partners

Experience leading and managing projects from start to finish

Experience managing people and developing teams

Experience improving internal processes and creating structure within an organization

Experience developing a roadmap to collect the data needed to make business decisions

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's degree
