Custodian - Full-time / Part-time

Under general supervision, performs a variety of routine to skilled duties to include floor care procedures, waste removal, wall and glass washing, removing bio-medical waste, stocking linen storerooms and carts, dusting, cleaning plumbing fixtures, and cleaning furniture and equipment. Maintains housekeeping equipment. Cleans according to the infection prevention standards to ensure a safe environment for patients, visitors and employees. Maintains routine manual cleaning service to the hospital and its outside buildings in accordance with policies, procedures, standards and practices set by SageWest Health Care, Department of Health, Joint Commission, and other local community and government agencies. Required to instill a customer-friendly and safety-friendly atmosphere for patients, visitors, and medical staff. Support customer service initiatives.

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred
• Must be able to maintain a positive attitude while working with the public
• Must be self-motivated, friendly, detail-oriented and able to follow instructions
• Neat appearance
