Train, develop and hold a team of cooks accountable. Effectively control costs for labor, beverages, and supplies through appropriate inventory, purchasing, and scheduling. Requirements
Responsibilities & Functions of this Position • Interact with, direct and supervise FOH and BOH employees on a daily basis • As needed to ensure excellent service, effectively work all FOH stations, cashier, runner to-go and wait list • Assist with scheduling, ensure proper coverage • Assist with payroll • Effectively manage cash on hand and prepare a change order • Maintain daily manager log • Ensure effective and safe use of equipment including knives, griddles, warmers, ranges, ovens, fryers, mixers, blenders and kettles • Stock, restock, clean and sanitize your work station • Effectively manage the electronic waitlist during busy shifts • Ensure the team maintains uniform standards at all times • Maintain Company policies and standards at all times • Complete any and all other tasks as assigned • Ability to effectively inventory, purchase and receive product • Assist with interviewing, hiring, training, development and retention of qualified FOH employees • Effectively open and close the dining room daily Qualifications • 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role with a high volume full-service or fast-casual restaurant • Experience with inventory and purchasing • Experience interviewing, hiring and training a staff of at least 20 people • Positive attitude and willingness to learn about our amazing food • Strong POS and computer skills • Must be able to work a flexible schedule of nights, days, weekends and holidays • Familiarity with Indian Cuisine is a plus but not required • State of Illinois Sanitation Certificate (ServSafe)
