Responsible for the auditing of manufacturing lines for proper product weights, proper product assembly, proper oven/freezer temperatures, and correct packaging.

 

DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

 

  • Exhibit leadership on the production floor by making sure hand-held computers are properly being used for all data checkpoints and making sure data is properly inputted into Safety Chain software system.  They will own the system on the production floor.
  • Remain knowledgeable and able to insure production line pre-up inspections and micro swabbings are properly executed on daily basis.
  • Become proficient at being able to conduct environmental swabbings, if needed.
  • Exhibit leadership traits to the techs on the production floor when dealing with products and equipment needing to be placed on hold, or other Food Safety concerns.
  • Help insure that proper resources are in place and prepared for new Pilot runs, as they occur on your shift.
  • Audit manufacturing lines for proper product weights, proper product assembly, proper oven/freezer temperatures, and correct packaging.
  • Perform weight verifications on scales.
  • Perform metal detection checks for manufacturing lines.
  • Place items on hold when necessary.
  • Record raw material lot numbers for traceability.
  • Print dated labels for finished products.
  • Collects raw material and finished product samples for both microbiological laboratory testing and retain samples.
  • Completes QA paperwork on an ongoing basis.
  • Ensures that all products are produced consistent with SROD’s and customer high quality standards and those employees strictly adhere to SROD procedures.
  • Ensures that facilities are maintained and all duties are performed in compliance with all applicable food safety standards and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  • Communicates with Production Managers and/or Production Supervisors about any formula changes and/or product issues.
  • Assures that all work assigned to position is performed in accordance with written specifications, instructions and requirement on build sheets.
  • Displays appropriate work ethics in the workplace and group settings which provides a positive influence on the production floor.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Demonstrates good verbal communication skills in both English and/or Spanish.
  • Maintains good housekeeping and clean work areas in assigned space.
  • Awareness of equipment malfunctions in production area
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must have a flexible schedule to include weekends if necessary
  • Must be willing to work overtime
  • Bilingual Preferred
  • 1 or more years’ experience in a food manufacturing environment
