BlueCross BlueShield is currently in need of 2 Nurse Clinicians for their Chattanooga, TN location.
The Nurse Clinician roles have the potential to role permanent with BCBS, one of the leading Healthcare Systems in the United States.
About the Position:
- 1st shift 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday
- Pay ranging from $27-$31/HR depending on experience
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse in the state of Tennessee or hold a license in the state of their residence if the state is participating in the Nurse Licensure Compact Law required
- Acute Care or ICU/ER experience
- Must be comfortable with computers
- Minimum 3 years varied clinical experience required
- Utilization Case Management Review experience is a plus
Responsibilities:
- This nurse will be reviewing member cases for Inpatient Services, Medicare Products and Care Management
- Performing comprehensive pre-existing reviews, reviews of rider-related diagnoses, potential misrepresentation referrals, rider related drug appeals, provider and member appeals, denial interpretation for letters, retrospective claim review, special review requests, and UM pre-certifications and appeals, utilizing medical appropriateness criteria, nursing judgement, and contractual eligibility
