About this job
Perform a variety of food service responsibilities as assigned by Executive chef. Serve as batch book and prepare entrees and side dishes for multiple venues. Independently prepare and oversee hot food for action stations in Sagamore Restaurant. Maintain service and product standards on a consistent basis. Create new recipes and menu items as needed. Maintain effective communication with customers, employees, and supervisors.
Requirements
Required:
High school diploma/GED.
Two years food service production experience .
Ability to perform all duties of lower level food service workers.
Stable work or education history.
Work standards and productivity, communication, interpersonal and intercultural relations, decision making, and dependability.
Financial, coaching, delegation, and planning.
Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors, perform basic math functions, lift and move up to 30 pounds, and stand, walk, reach and stoop.
Knowledge of sanitation requirements and ServSafe certification obtained within one year of employment with university assistance.
Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively with individuals from different viewpoints and backgrounds utilizing SLPF ACTS and teamwork in daily activity.
Preferred:
Experience in a fast paced environment.
Additional Information:
Days and hours for this position are Monday through Friday 5:30am - 2:00pm with occasional overtime dependent on business need.
Purdue will not sponsor an employment related visa for this position.
