Mechanical Engineer - Full-time / Part-time

Our client is seeking a mechanical engineer to join their team in Salem, VA.

They design and manufacture custom fiberglass pultrusions for the fenestration, agriculture, refrigeration and automotive industries.

Key Responsibilities:

- The engineer with work with the process team on projects to implement improvements in the plant by designing and developing new equipment set ups to improve production, utilizing standard components when possible.

- The engineer will help train the technicians on the new set ups and machinery when needed.

- Maintain documentation on facility setups

-Manage PPT/IPT projects and drive project success (scope met, on time, on budget). Champion trial runs on production lines to test and validate new equipment.

Qualifications:

3-5 Years experience in a manufacturing setting

- Bachelor's in mechanical engineering

Experience designing in Pro E or Creo programs

Previous experience managing projects and working in teams

***Preferred***

-Plastics processing experience

-Machine Design experience

-Understanding of Lean Manufacturing Principles
