The Assistant Manager Position is an operational employee of the company responsible for quality leadership and management of the account in addition to supporting the Account Manager to ensure contractually agreed upon operating standards are achieved. The Assistant Account Manager role is 100% tactical and operational and is responsible for building upon a culture of employee engagement and set the example for all employees of servant leadership and personal commitment to the Whelan Values.

Performance Metrics:

The Assistant Account Manager is expected to achieve the following metrics within Whelan’s performance-based business environment:
  • Must be able to meet all requirements for an officer at MAC/MSP
  • Be an effective communicator and possess the ability to work with a variety of personalities
  • Be available to work varied shifts dependent upon customer and emergency requirements
  • Assist with personnel inspections and training of personnel to all security positions
  • Personally, recruit a minimum of one new officer for the MAC/MSP Quarterly
  • Become proficient in all post assignments and duties
  • 100% compliance to the Whelan Mandatory Requirements
  • Lead by example of living up to the Whelan Values
  • Assist with scheduling and payroll as directed by the Account Manager
  • Review Incident Report(s) for accuracy and clarity
  • Provide support to security officers and assist in times of heavy traffic
  • Communicate with the Client as necessary
  • Ensure that all policies and procedures assigned by all governing bodies are understood and fully implemented by the team
  • Assist the Account Manager with communication with construction project managers as needed

Qualifications

Successful candidates must meet the following requirements:
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • At least 21 years of age or older as required by applicable law or contractual requirements
  • Demonstrate a stable work history
  • Pass an extensive background screening which includes, but is not limited to, criminal background checks (local, state and federal), drug test, aptitude tests, skills assessment, interviews, and personality profile (behavioral assessment)
Previous contract services, hospitality, military, law enforcement or supervisory experience is desirable.

Education

Candidates must meet the following educational requirements:
  • Possess at least a high school education or equivalent (GED)
