Role Summary:

ASPIRE Co-op Program is designed to enable undergraduates pursing a Bachelor-level degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Math, and Business Management majors hands-on work experience as the foundation to their professional life and, depending on performance, be first-in-line for an ongoing career opportunity.

The Internship Program is a 6-month long, structured learning experience that offers practical work experience in the Oil and Gas Industry. During the co-op rotation, you will be given an assignment in one of the Finance competencies listed below. The assignment provides an opportunity to have a real impact on business issues. Co-ops are challenged to assist in developing innovative solutions that respond to dynamic business conditions.

  • FP&A: Learn how the business uses financial planning analysis of the income statement, balance sheet, or cash flow statement to report and forecast

  • Supply Chain: Understand how products are made, use finance to drive quality and productivity

  • Commercial Finance: Learn core products and services value proposition, understand contracting, financing solutions and risk management

You will be assigned a buddy who will help you assimilate into the team and supported by your Assignment Leader who will guide you ensuring a valuable learning experience. You will have the opportunity to explore different aspects of BHGE which may open potential opportunities for your ongoing employment. Furthermore, you will build your network within the industry.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Work on rotations and/or assignments in various areas in corporate finance, including financial planning & analysis, commercial finance, and supply chain finance
  • Work on assignments/projects within the financial management landscape to stretch your learning and skillset
  • Participate in training sessions and receive active coaching and mentoring
  • Use your academic knowledge to complete assigned deliverables, deliver customer outcomes and improve the operation of our business
  • Learn and utilize software associated with assigned tasks
  • Network globally and cross-functionally with current Aspire program members; interact with global business leaders cross-functionally

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree program or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Math, Business Management

  • Maintain a GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or the equivalent

  • Fluent in English (oral and written)

  • Unrestricted authorization to work in the country in which you have applied without company sponsorship or time restriction.

Effective written and oral communication, integrity, critical thinking/analytical skills, agility/ flexibility, a continuous learning mindset, a high "say-do" ratio (execute on your commitments), teamwork and collaboration, drive for results, and initiative in addition to the following:
