Maintenance Electrician is a vital role in the daily operations of our facility. This position will be responsible for maintaining production and quality by ensuring operation of electronics, electrical systems, apparatus, electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment. This role also requires troubleshooting, ensuring proper maintenance and operational status of equipment, using a variety of hand tools to set up, break down, adjust production line machinery, and performing other duties pertaining to hydraulics and pneumatics controls, high voltage wiring and motor repair, all while making safety the number one priority. Maintenance Electrician requires being able to read manuals written in English and the ability to write and document information.
While performing the duties of Maintenance Electrician, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions with slippery surfaces; moving mechanical parts; fast paced warm/cool environment. Positions require standing the entire shift and the use of PPE is required in all areas of the facility.
Principal Accountabilities
* Perform repetitive tasks. Examples include:
* Using hand tools to perform maintenance on production machinery
* Ensuring food safety and quality
* Cleanliness and housekeeping
Required Qualifications
* Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
* Must be 18 years or older
* Ability to read, write and speak English
* Possess an electrical license in state of Minnesota
* Experience troubleshooting electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems
* PLC, weighing, and labeling systems knowledge
* Reliability maintenance experience
* Basic computer experience
Preferred Qualifications
* Previous production maintenance experience
* Previous Cargill experience
* Work history in the past 12 months
