Plumber (Trades II) - Full-time

Basic Requirements:

• Must currently have valid Florida Driver’s license ability to meet company driving guidelines
• Must have a High School diploma or equivalent
• Must have at least 4 years of experience in the field.
• Possess good knowledge of plumbing installation and repair; full knowledge of the function and repair of Sloan and Zurn flush-o-meters, Chicago and Zurn faucets and other brands; troubleshooting malfunctions and solving most problems with minimum supervision are also required
• Have good knowledge of the proper use of hand and power tools used in the plumbing trade.
• Know how to install and repair copper lines (tubing), including soldering
• Have the knowledge of installing and repairing PVC & CPVC piping and galvanized pipe
• Must be able to lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. of material on a regular basis
• Able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week (some overtime required) with rotating shifts including nights, weekends and holidays
• Engage in extensive walking and standing
• Ability to work in close and confine spaces
• Frequent bending from waist to floor, kneeling, squatting, simple hand grasping work and some fine hand manipulation.
• Work environment primary outdoors in Florida weather conditions(high heat/humidity, wet weather conditions and occasional temperatures -30 degrees)

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform routine Plumbing service calls: unclog fixtures, drains as needed.
• Perform work order driven repairs to city, sanitary, and storm water piping.
• Repair/replace plumbing fixtures as needed in the park.
• Repair/Replace lift station pumps and equipment for storm & sanitary stations.
• Perform other work as required by the Park Services Department
