Permanent, direct hire opening with our production client located in the Hayward, CA area!
Our client, a leading production company within the food and beverage industry, has an immediate opening for a Maintenance Supervisor. The Maintenance Supervisor maintains all production equipment and facility systems by leading a team of maintenance technicians in the preventative maintenance schedule, troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical machinery, and ensuring a safe working environment.
The Maintenance Supervisor will:

Accomplish maintenance objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; recommending compensation actions; adhering to policies and procedures.
Meet maintenance operational standards by contributing maintenance information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems.
Meet maintenance financial standards by providing annual budget information; monitoring expenditures; identifying variances; implementing corrective actions.
Evaluate functionality and reliability of facility systems and associated equipment by conferring with operating departments; identifying problems and requirements.
Maintain function and reliability of facility systems and associated equipment by implementing a preventive maintenance program; operating and testing systems and equipment; restoring, repairing, rebuilding, or replacing faulty or inoperative components and parts.
Improve function and reliability of facility systems and associated equipment by studying performance results; identifying, recommending, and implementing changes, expansions, and additions.
Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal codes and regulations

Successful candidates will:

Have strong mechanical and technical aptitude
Have prior experience working within a production or manufacturing environment
Have prior experience supervising a team of maintenance technicians
Be able to work well within timelines and deadlines
Have strong leadership capabilities
Have excellent organizational skills
Be continuous improvement focused and safety driven
