Analytical Lead Chemist Opportunity

Analytical Lead Chemist:

Duties:

• Identify and perform chemical and instrumental test on bioactive, isolated and single constituents of vitamins, minerals, herbs and plant extracts
• Prepare standards and samples for analysis utilizing instruments such as: HPLC, ICP, AA, FTIR, Titrations, TLC, UV-Vis and others
• Execute in-house methods, as well as method development and validation protocols to meet cGMP regulations for the nutraceutical industry
• Conduct routine testing, non-routine testing and feasibility analyses
• Introduce and develop new analytical methods to characterize, verify and classify compounds; report and review results; compare relevant specifications and quality status

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, or other related scientific discipline
• Must have prior hands-on HPLC, ICP and TLC testing experience related to nutraceuticals/pharmaceutical APIs, excipients and finished products
• Minimum 3-4 years hands-on experience on analytical testing, method development, validation and identification of marker compounds, herbs, vitamins, proteins, enzymes and food chemicals.
