MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

A high school diploma or its equivalent and one (1) year of secretarial or clerical work experience; or

College education from an accredited institution can substitute at the rate of 30 semester or 45 quarter hours for the required work experience. Vocational/technical training in the area of secretarial science or office/business studies can substitute at the rate of 720 classroom hours for the required work experience.

JOB DUTIES:

Receive and process consumer complaints and inspection requests by telephone. Route complaints/requests properly and resolve if possible. If on-site inspection is required, dispatch to proper inspector. Prepare reports in the consumer complaints/requests database and follow up by sending copies to inspectors and supervisors. Periodically review database to ensure all reports have been closed. Notify inspectors and supervisors regarding any unresolved cases. Maintain the 800 number for after hour consumer complaint calls.

Responsible for auditing inspection reports using the field inspection Information Management System database.

Assist with maintaining a registered meter mechanic file.

Answer telephone calls in a courteous, professional and efficient manner.

Pick up and sort mail accurately.

Check fax machine daily.

Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
