Appraiser - Vehicle Damage - Insurance

FrontLine Appraisals, LLC, a division of FrontLine Adjusting, Inc., is a full-service damage appraisal company handling claims for the insurance industry and self-insured entities throughout a number of states including North Carolina, Virginia, Washington D.C., Maryland, West Virginia, Ohio and parts of Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, and Indiana. Founded in 2007, we are an established company looking to expand our service offerings in western Ohio. We seek a candidate capable of satisfying our existing client base and expanding it by providing excellent service.

Appraisers with FrontLine are responsible for completing inspections of damaged automobiles, specialized equipment, and commercial trucks. Typical field work will involve travel to the vehicle location, visual inspection of the damages, and obtaining digital photographs. Office work will involve the scheduling of appointments, preparation of repair estimates, and phone communication with various parties including the vehicle owner, repair facility, and insurance company. The division between field work and office work is roughly 60/40.

A successful candidate must be sufficiently disciplined and motivated to work independently under tight deadlines. A functional home office with computer, Microsoft Office, and high-speed Internet is required. Proficiency with computers and extreme efficiency are essential.

As this position will involve travel throughout the relevant territory, a reliable vehicle is also necessary.

This is NOT an entry-level position. Candidates must have prior auto physical damage estimate writing experience. During training, new hires may be expected to travel with a senior appraiser throughout the relevant territory and/or the senior appraiser’s territory.
