Utopian Luxury Vacation Homes is seeking a Market Development Manager who will assist our team in recruiting new homes for various markets. This Independent Contractor role will be commission-based and is a critical function in expanding our business. Becoming part of the Utopian team means you’re part of the booming trend in short term vacation home management. While we definitely want sharp skills, we’re specifically looking for a great teammate who values the guest experience and strives to make every stay the best it could be.
In the role of Marketing Development Manager, you will be managed directly by a VP of Marketing Development who will work with you to advance your career goals in line with the goals of Utopian This will include training in the vacation rental industry, the ability to act as a consultant to homeowners, and to initiate what will be long term relationships with new clients for the company. Utopian implements other tools for success such as ongoing on-boarding and training, mentoring, and Leadership Development plans to further grow your career into new markets. Responsibilities:
- Establish relationship with current owners and prospective New Owners.
- Articulate the benefits of Utopian to new clients and partners
- Generating sales through new leads, research and utilizing proper closing techniques
- Work with vendors in the local area during the onboarding process

Qualifications:
- Primary duty will be to handle new sales operations through tele sales and in person meetings, relationships with partners, realtors, etc.
- Self-Motivated
- Have the drive to handle rejection and the confidence to perform within a short sales cycle
- Must be energetic, outgoing, tenacious, and a natural closer
- Ability to generate leads and build trust with prospects over the phone, work with other team members, close sales
- Must be able to develop confidence with prospects over the phone and in person
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
- Strong communication skills
- The ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve problems
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Must be at least 18 years of age to apply
