Job Description
The Smithsonian Museums on the National Mall in Washington DC are currently seeking experienced and friendly Temporary Retail Associates to deliver excellent customer service in our Museum Stores.
Have fun, earn extra income and work in an exciting environment! Our Retail Associates represent the Smithsonian Institution, and deliver top-notch service to our visitors from around the world!
Qualified candidates will have at least 1 year of retail and/or customer service experience including:
- Superior Customer Service Skills
- Merchandise Replenishment
- Shipping and Receiving
- Visual Merchandising
- Loss Prevention
- Cash Handling
We are looking for upbeat and outgoing personalities, and dependability is a must! A knowledge of or interest in Art, Science, History or Culture a plus!
Candidates must be available Evenings, Weekends, and Holidays – no exceptions.
Candidates must be able to lift up to 10 lbs, stand for long periods of time, and have the ability to operate a computerized cash register system.
