Paint Lead - 2nd Shift

Express Employment Professionals is currently seeking a Production Lead in Portland, TN for 2nd Shift – 3:45pm-12:15am, Monday-Friday and occasional weekends. Pay Rate: $16.50 or Depending on Experience. Interested candidates should at previous Manufacturing Line Lead experience.  The position is Evaluation-to-Hire.

Responsibilities of the Production Lead:

• Obtains information or instructions, prior to the start of shift from Supervisor
• Checks daily production schedule and is responsible for daily line set up (line operator’s assignments, supplies, materials, tools & equipment, assigns daily target on each line, sets up machines and or equipment if necessary)
• Conducts meetings with employees regarding departmental productivity goals
• Floats on production floor to monitor and ensure that all company rules and procedures are followed.
• Checks parts throughout the shift to ensure parts are within acceptable limits of quality. Responsible to report problems immediately to the appropriate people and must correct the issue or verify it has been properly corrected if corrected by someone else
• Solves problems as they arise relating to minor production process issues
• Plans and arranges for next shift’s production
• Completes all required paperwork and reports accurately
• Ensures that employees are properly trained for assigned positions and maintains all training matrixes for their department
• Provides feedback to supervisor regarding employee production performance
• Exchanges information with other shifts relating to production defect issues, etc.
• Maintains good housekeeping standards
• Reports any labor or production related problems to supervisor
• Enforces company safety program and conducts safety meetings
• Assist supervisor in assigning placement of employees work stations/assignments

Requirements of the Production Lead:

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• Previous Manufacturing Line Lead experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal, team building and conflict skills
• Basic computer skills

Physical Requirements of the Production Lead:

• Ability to lift 40 pounds
• Ability to stand, bend, squat, and twist for 8 hours

Compensation of the Production Lead:

• $16.50 or Depending on Experience
