Job Description
Major distributor of Steel, Fasteners, Tools and related contractor supply products in the Baltimore Washington Metropolitan area with 6 locations servicing the commercial contractor. We have an immediate need for a Counter Sales Manager to lead our Capitol Heights, Maryland Counter Sales Team.
Job Description:
· Leads Counter Sales staff.
· Greets customers on the sales floor.
· Pleasant telephone etiquette.
· Assists customers in product selection.
· Maintain a high level of customer service.
· Strives to increase market penetration increase revenue.
· Direct and organize all sales functions at the counter level.
· Hold staff meetings to keep employees motivated and informed of business operations.
· Actively participate in the training, and coaching of the CSR’s.
· Provide support to Outside Sales Force.
· Display merchandise.
· Handle or assist in the resolution of customer service issues.
· Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management and customers.
Job Requirements:
· Customer Service, Management, and Sales experience.
· Experience in tools, construction supplies, and rental equipment preferred.
· Excellent communications skills with the ability to engage in verbal interactions with customers.
· Strong sales skills
· Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
· Ability to manage employees including; training, developing, setting expectations, and disciplining.
· Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
· Project a professional appearance.
· High School or GED required
· Minimum 3 years sales experience
· Multi-lingual a plus (Spanish)
· Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
