We are currently looking for a HSEQ Coordinator to join our team in Ft. Lupton, CO.

Summary

The HSEQ Coordinator is instrumental in supporting various QHSE-related activities conducted within a specific geographic region where the organization operates and complies with all respective regulatory guidelines, laws and applicable practices

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assists the District Managers in the implementation, facilitation and maintenance of the QHSE Program under the direction of the HSEQ Supervisor and Global QHSE Director
  • Supports the implementation, coordination, and continuous improvement of all quality, health, safety and environmental activities within their assigned region(s)
  • Develops practical solutions for carrying out regional-specific QHSE plans that ensures the success of the organization’s QHSE strategy
  • Provides technical guidance and solutions to operational teams regarding quality, health, safety and environmental related issues, conditions and situations
  • Consults with all relevant departments on design and use of programs, procedures and equipment
  • Provides technical writing for QHSE procedures, meetings and bulletins / alerts
  • Maintains various types of data that successfully tracks and trends QHSE performance within their respective region
  • Conducts QHSE inductions, training and competency assessments
  • Coordinates and conducts employee engagement, facilitation and training sessions
  • Ensures that corrective actions to any unsafe acts or conditions are timely implemented
  • Facilitates focus on QHSE activities by internal QHSE committees and participates in various industry QHSE-related events
  • Ensures that every employee and worker has the right and responsibility to stop work when an unsafe act or condition has been identified
  • Investigates the causes of accidents, injuries and illnesses and develops solutions
  • Inspects and tours various work facilities, field sites, equipment and vehicles to detect existing or potential hazards; recommends corrective or preventative measures
  • Alerts regional managers and employees as to working hazards within the respective region(s)
  • Coordinates QHSE-related motivation programs that will increase proficiency in safe practices and promote safety consciousness
  • Conducts plant / area surveys to determine safe limits of exposure to materials or conditions
  • Recommends control measures of exposure to hazardous materials or conditions
Essential Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required, associate or bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum of two years related experience and or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge or awareness of ISO 9001-:2008, ISO 14001:2004 and BS OHSAS 18001:2007 quality management systems and respective requirements
  • Knowledge of general safety practices and regional-specific QHSE laws, regulation, applications, guidelines, Codes of Practice and guidance
  • Ability to maintain a professional appearance
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have a valid local driver's license with clean driving record
  • Must pass a physical, agility testing, and drug and alcohol screen
