Primary responsibility:


All Community Assistants are responsible for maintaining and promoting the community and the lifestyle. The Community Assistants primary duty is to maintain the lifestyle in regards to property appearance, resident functions, and property cleanliness. Other components of the CA responsibilities is also to lease, gather prospects and maintain outstanding customer service.

Physical requirements:

  • Vision sufficient to: read leasing materials, agreements, marketing materials, computer screens, business correspondence and other materials encountered in the course of work
  • Hearing sufficient to: hear verbal conversation and using telephone
  • Speech sufficient to: make oneself heard in conversation, over the phone, in front of groups
  • Dexterity sufficient to: operate office equipment to include copy machines, printers, etc.
  • Endurance sufficient to: sit, walk, stand for long periods of time and maintain efficiency throughout the entire work shift and during extended hours with limited rest time. Quick pace is the norm
  • Mobility sufficient to: safely move within an office and travel to remote locations at schools and move throughout the facility including multi floors.
  • Strength sufficient to: sufficiently lift office supplies, reports, materials including boxed materials that could weigh up to 40 lbs., etc.
  • Driving ability to sufficiently drive to feeder locations for accessing prospects and lease customers
Essential Functions include but are not limited to:
  • Makes every effort to get to know residents and establish rapport with residents. Building and maintaining community is the #1 role of the Community Assistant.
  • Plans meaningful social, educational, charitable and physical events for residents.
  • Helps with Monthly Newsletter
  • Makes sure residents are aware of all policies and procedures as related to health, safety, and discipline.
  • Insures all policies are followed by residents.
  • Reports any risk management situations to supervisors.
  • Helps maintain an atmosphere of teamwork, collaboration, and fun.
  • Communicates effectively with residents regarding the property.
  • Picks up trash and debris on grounds as needed.
  • Promotes The Property as a fun, exciting, great place to live and work.
  • Performs various administrative duties such as updating telephone lists, emails, etc.
  • Facilitates communication to residents via email, postings, etc.
  • Assists with opening and closing procedures including move-in, move-out, training, and turnover.
  • Provides excellent customer service to residents, parents, and staff.
  • Tours community, takes inquiry information and assists in sales process.
  • Answers any questions pertaining to information about The Property.
  • Works weekends that rotate between staff
  • Takes the On-Call phone a minimum of one night a week up to one week.
  • Performs clubhouse opening and closing procedures.
  • Light housekeeping of Model and Clubhouse.
  • Enters all applicants into leasing database and reviews for accuracy
  • Tours potential residents
  • Ensures timely response to all web inquiries.
  • Mails leases, information packets, or additional information to prospective residents and/or parents.
  • Follows up on all inquiry calls and packets mailed to insure all questions are answered.
  • Monitors supply of brochures and other leasing materials and notifies supervisor when ordering additional collateral in necessary.
  • Insures Model Apartment and Bistro Area is clean and fully stocked at all times.
  • Maintains The Property www.facebook.com
  • Sends out mass emails to prospects
  • Plans special events to promote The Property
  • Cold calls possible prospects
  • Participates in on-campus events
  • Participates in staff meetings and trainings.
  • Passes out promotional material for The Property
  • Represents The Property in a positive, professional, and fun manner.
