Aerotek is currently search for an Owner's Representative Project Manager for our local client in Portland, OR.

The Project Manager position plans, directs, coordinates and budgets activities concerned with the construction, remodeling and CapEx projects for senior housing. This person participates in the conceptual development of a project and oversees its organization, scheduling, implementation and completion. The project manager writes subcontracts to implement the budget and meet the schedule as approved. Must be able to work in a fast paced, stressful environment to complete projects on time, on budget and with top quality. Must be able to mitigate risk by defined work scopes in written form for subcontractors. Must be able to read and understand blue prints of complex projects.

  • Protect the physical assets of the company and communities through pro-active planning and execution of capitol expenditure and construction projects of various sizes and scope.
  • Estimate construction costs for multitude of project types.
  • Work with internal and external partners to plan, organize and direct activities concerned with senior housing construction projects. This may be CAPEX projects, new construction or remodels of existing communities.
  • Establish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within boundaries of company policy and contract specifications. Confer with site personnel and building partners to discuss such matters as work procedures, complaints and construction problems.
  • Initiate and maintain liaison with owners, community directors and other contacts to facilitate project activities.
  • Monitor and control project through administrative direction of on-site personnel and partners to ensure project is completed on schedule and within budget.
  • Investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures.
  • Represent company in project meetings and attend strategy meetings.
  • Work with contract administrator to manage financial aspects of contracts to protect company's interest and simultaneously maintain good relationship with the customer.
  • May requisition supplies and materials to complete project.
  • Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to administrative staff, workers and clients.
  • Formulate reports concerning such areas as work progress, costs and scheduling.
  • Work with subcontractors or in house crews to assign workers to construction sites to work on specified projects.
  • Secure third party vendor contracts, miscellaneous maintenance and repair contracts for special assignment projects.
  • Coordination of and professional, courteous communication with, all vendors
  • Conduct On-going Education as directed.
  • Utilize communication and tracking tools to ensure schedule, scope and project deliverables are met.
