Position Summary

Drive divisions in execution of operational best practices through coaching, training, and development of key division staff/district teams. Develop financial improvements in divisions that are below the enterprise average in shrink, labor, expense, and sanitation and in-stock position. Essential Job Functions
  • Develop/lead stores, districts and divisions in the execution of best practice solutions that support the achievement of company financial objectives, including shrink, labor, and expense while supporting the Customer 1st strategy
  • Establish/maintain relationships with division and district management to communicate/document business strategies, execute planned activities and achieve goals
  • Deliver financial improvement in divisions below enterprise average and provide feedback on current/future state processes for each solution
  • Learn about processes “Best in Class” divisions are using to achieve desired performance goals, financial goals and process execution
  • Provide feedback to the Retail Operations Communications and Corporate Training & Development teams on the effectiveness of training modules
  • Learn from subject matter experts to develop potential business/technology solutions and advise store, district and division associates on the impact to business processes
  • Collaborate with Best Practice Execution team leaders/Directors for Best Practices on solutions and the impact on store operations/merchandising
  • Partner with subject matter experts in Asset Protection, Labor, Scheduling, Computer Automated Ordering (CAO), Fresh/Center Store Shrink, and Expense/Sanitation to ensure alignment of plans/best practices
  • Identify process improvement needs and develop plans to implement suggested improvements
  • Drive multi-phase solution activities in specifically assigned divisions in order to improve performance and capture activity while providing training and development to division rollout managers/teams
  • Provide team members’ performance feedback to division leadership for performance review documentation, discussion and succession management process
  • Visit divisions/stores across the company to monitor best practices solutions
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
Minimum Position Qualifications:
  • 4+ years’ experience within store management and shrink and/or labor management
  • Demonstrated competency in developing efficient/effective solutions to diverse and complex business problems
  • Excellent operational skills combined with a solid understanding of merchandising
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to facilitate and lead large group sessions
  • Ability to interact with/guide highly driven and talented individuals
  • Ability to prioritize and recommend solution activities related to business priorities/strategies
  • Strong analytical/conceptual skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite
  • Understanding of organizational impacts resulting from changes in business processes/technologies
  • Capable of maintaining a solutions-focused approach
  • Proven interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with all management levels/associates
  • Strong oral/written communication skills
