Laundry / Linen Personnel - Full-time / Part-time

Laundry/ Linen Personnel - works under the supervision of the Facility Linen Manager and Facility Operations Manager. 

Job Skills/Requirements:

Duties include, but are not limited to prepping and preparing linen/dish orders for events on an as needed basis. Daily use of washers, dryers, irons, and flatirons press machine. This position requires a high degree of walking, bending, lifting, and standing throughout shift. Must have full range of motion and dexterity. Must be able to follow instructions/directions set in place by supervisors. 

Nature of Work:

*Prepping and washing. Must make sure linen is clean and free from dirt, stains, tears, grease and oil. 

*Make sure Linen is properly washed, dried, folded, pressed, and tagged. 

*Wrap, package, and label linens. 

*Restock and hang clean linen appropriately given by linen manager.

*Must be able to uphold quality control standards.

*Fill-in other positions in Laundry/Linen area as need for smooth operation of day to day business.

Linen will be brought in on a daily basis. The linen will need to be sorted, pre-treated, washed, dried appropriately, pressed/ironed/steamed, bagged/tagged, and restocked. Linen includes tablecloths, runners, napkins, skirting, drapes, linen bags, tent bags, tent lining, etc.

Dishes will need to be washed, sanitized, dried, then wrapped and back on racks as completed. 

Dishes included China, glassware/mugs/Stemware, serving ware, and silverware. 

*Personnel must also keep the Landry/Linen area clean. This will include wiping tables, sweeping, taking out garbage, waxing the press, cleaning lint filters, and wiping down washers/dryers as needed. There is a standard of work that must be met on daily and weekly basis.

Skill and Requirements

*Must be able to lift approximately 50lb.

*Must maintain a professional personal appearance. (Clean uniforms, personal grooming)

*Must be able to read, speak, write and follow directions in English

*Must maintain an acceptable attendance record.

*Must be able to work Effective and Efficiently.

*Must be able to count ACCURATELY!

Additional Information:

Work conditions will vary depending on the weather. Most areas will not be air conditioned or heated. Exposure to above average temperatures is prevalent. Exposure to some chemicals and machinery used can be hazardous, if not handled correctly.
