Grill - Full-time / Part-time

This position is responsible for grilling and cutting fajitas and asada meat, and assisting line servers with non-grill items such as quesadillas, eggs, pancakes, corn tortillas, and frying chips and shells in a deep fryer, while following all health and safety standards and maintaining a clean work area.

 

You must be dependable, be able to work in a fast paced environment, willing to learn/work at other positions besides the grill (For example, bussing and washing dishes), able to work harmoniously with other employees, able to handle several tasks at one time, able to read (with or without corrective lenses) order tickets, and work weekends and holidays including Christmas.

 

This position also requires, by way of example only, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand up to 8 hours, use knives, deep fryers, grills and other commercial kitchen equipment while standing, using motion that entails pushing, pulling, bending, stretching and continuous use of fingers and wrists, and the ability to tolerate the heat from the grill.

Born in July 1993 on the south side of San Antonio, Texas, Mama Margie’s began as a fast casual restaurant named after Margie Lopez Abonce. Margie helped create our menu with recipes she learned from her mother and grandmother in Allende, Mexico.  Customers came to know and love Margie’s smile and delicious meals. Our Mama Margie’s concept has grown to three locations in San Antonio and one in Schertz, Texas. Margie’s recipes are still the foundation of our menu today.  We continue to be family owned and operated.
